Blocked drains
Slow draining sinks, gurgling toilets and water pooling in the yard usually mean a partial blockage that is about to become a full one. We locate the cause with a drain camera before we start cutting, then clear it with an electric eel or a high pressure jetter depending on what is in the line. Tree roots are the most common cause in older Canberra suburbs, and if roots have cracked the pipe we quote the repair rather than clearing the same drain every winter. Most residential blockages are cleared in a single visit, and you get to see the camera footage of the line afterwards.
Hot water systems
